Dorchester YMCA 2006
We had nearly 100% participation from agents and employees
when we "passed the hat" at our February sales meeting
to raise funds for the Dorchester YMCA's recent renovation
efforts.

HURRICANE RELIEF 2005
October 1, 2005, we held another yard sale to benefit victims who are still not
recovered from Hurricane Isabelle in 2003.
With the funds raised, we donated gift certificates to Food Lion and Lowes to
families in need.
Those who helped are: Laura Moore, Wayne Hughes, Joy Ruark, Natalie Moore, Leon
Blake, Robin Simmons (behind the camera)

July 2004
Headed by Valerie Brown and Joy Ruark, we held a major fund raiser for the James
Richardson Foundation and Maritime Museum aboard the Dorothy Megan. A
great time was had by all who attended this "casino" game night, in which play
money was won, and later used to purchase auction items donated by local
businesses.

& George Wittstadt, Robin Simmons, Bob & Diane
Hughes, Dick Hargis, John Moore, John Knox and others.

June 11 & 12, 2004
Once again, Charlie's Angels did what we could to help in the fight against
cancer. Rain can't hamper us too much... the event was moved inside
Cambridge South Dorchester High School.

We held a YARD SALE in the Powell Realtors parking lot - corner of Maryland
Avenue and Trenton Street, Cambridge MD

March, 2004
On March 20, 2004 from 9 p.m. til 1 a.m., we sponsored a dance, music by Golden
Touch, at C.A.P.S. Bar & Grill on Sunburst Highway, Cambridge. The cost was
$10.00/person, benefit the Relay For Life. We had a GREAT turn-out, and lots of
fun! Along with the ticket income, we held a 50/50 raffle and an auction of
donated items. All in all, it was a fun, successful evening.

As one of our 2003 fundraisers, we held a drawing for 2 tickets to see Loretta
Lynn at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge on April 5, 2003. Cost of tickets is $2.00
each or 3/$5.00

HURRICANE RELIEF: 2003
Hurricane Isabelle hit South Dorchester very hard as many know. Our Angels once
again stepped up to help out with donations, Joy Ruark & Robin Simmons went
on shopping trips for needed supplies such as buckets, cleaning supplies, etc.,
which were then donated to those in need. Joy also donated many man-hours
helping the Red Cross with their food & supply trucks.

With the help of Linda Hubbard, Emily Wittstadt, Geraldine Kinnamon,the 2002
team was busy knitting pocket books to be sold as part of our fund raiser, and
also held a group yard sale and bake sale at POWELL REALTORS which was a lot of
hard work, but it paid off well to benefit the Relay For Life

2001
Members of the 2001 "Charlie's Angels" Relay For Life team from Powell Realtors
held a guest bartender's night in April 2001 at The Cator House to raise funds
for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event which happens each year.
